Brief History -

Hi there,

I'm Ethan Good and I'm a percussionist with 10 years experience playing in various jazz, rock and concert bands as well as participating in improvisation groups and captaining the Turramurra High School co-curricular band program.

I've been lucky enough to have been taught by a wide variety of talented teachers over the years, providing me with an expansive knowledge of music and percussion that I hope to share with all my students. Maybe that will be you!

My Teaching Philosophy -

I've learnt from my own time as a student to try to inspire the next generation of musicians to perform confidently, correctly and - most importantly - captivatingly! Whatever you're motivated by - marks, consistency, speed, technique - I will be sure to cater my lessons and teaching style to meet your individual learning needs. I teach students of any age and skill level in nearly any genre, but primarily pop, rock, jazz, concert, funk, latin and blues. I use a variety of teaching resources such as music programs, educational videos and backing tracks to ensure every student has the opportunity to learn in their own way.
My own musical taste evolves rapidly, encapsulating a massive range of genres and artists. Some of my all-time favourites include Coldplay, Arcade Fire, Laufey, Radiohead, The Beatles and Crumb. I try to listen to new music every week in an effort to broaden my musical horizons and understanding!
